I am incredibly proud to be have been appointed to the role as Head Teacher at The Primrose Centre – Sandwell’s short stay provision (Pupil Referral Unit) for primary aged children with social, emotional and mental health needs. I have a long career incorporating working as a senior leader in two Sandwell schools before working in specialist provision for students with additional needs. These experiences have led me to be a unique position to continue the excellent work already taking place at the centre.

Our specialist staff work closely with pupils, parents and schools to ensure children are able to access a broad and balanced curriculum; whilst still receiving social and emotional support including mentoring, enrichment and a variety of therapists and multi-agency professionals.  The collaboration between professionals ensures that we are able to support transition back into mainstream education or specialist provision (where appropriate) in order to support our young people on a successful educational journey.
