Referrals to The Primrose Centre are available for Sandwell children who are experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental health and require additional support.  The referrals for all children will be considered weekly by a panel of professionals from Sandwell Local Authority and Inclusive Learning Services to ensure that the correct provision can be allocated from across the alternative provision offer. For respite placements students should already have accessed inclusion support and the PPE team.

Placements are for 6 weeks with regular reviews before a pupil will return to their home school. 

As per Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 the home school retains responsibility of the safeguarding of the pupil whilst at an alternative provision.
