Primary PE and Sport Premium Statement
For the academic year 2024–2025, The Primrose centre received £6,000 in PE and Sport Premium funding. This grant is used to improve the quality of PE, sport, and physical activity for all pupils, with a focus on engagement, confidence, and access to a broad and inclusive curriculum.
Funding Allocation and Use
Qualified External Coaches – £3000
We invested in specialist external coaching to ensure high‑quality delivery in gymnastics and dance, and to broaden opportunities in sport. This supported pupils in developing confidence, improving physical skills, and increasing participation in structured physical activity.
Subscriptions to PE Resources – £570
We purchased high‑quality online and curriculum‑aligned PE resources to support staff in delivering more effective and consistent internal PE lessons.
Adapted Curriculum Resources – £1,720
We invested in adapted and accessible equipment to ensure pupils could develop skills and make progress across all areas of the National Curriculum, regardless of need or starting point. This included resources designed to support coordination, balance, movement, and inclusive participation.
Activity Resources (Indoor and Outdoor) – £470
To increase physical activity and confidence during structured and unstructured times, we purchased:
- Outdoor football goals and equipment, throwing and catching equipment adapted for need
- Indoor activity materials such as boxing pads, interactive equipment and adapted racket sets
These resources support regulation, engagement, and enjoyment of physical activity.
Internal Activities and Competitions – £240
The remainder of the funding supported internal events such as sports day and small‑scale competitions, providing pupils with opportunities to experience teamwork, celebration, and positive challenge.
