Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum
We are predominantly not an EYFS provision as children do not join us until 5 years of age, therefore do not have a specific EYFS class. Where we receive children who are working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we implement the EYFS framework and assess against it to ensure that teaching and learning are developmentally appropriate and responsive to individual needs.
Where appropriate, the EYFS curriculum is adapted to align with our curriculum for our children working on Sandwell Skills Ladders, ensuring consistency and progression. This approach enables staff to plan and deliver a cohesive learning experience that supports children’s transition in Primrose, maintaining a clear focus on skill development and continuity which is shown in the children’s learning journeys.
At the end of their Reception year using guidance from the EYFS framework, we submit GLD data to the LA to ensure we are following statutory requirements.
