I am incredibly proud to work in the capacity of Headteacher at The Primrose Centre – Sandwell’s short stay provision (Pupil Referral Unit) for primary aged children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our talented and committed staff work closely with pupils, parents and schools to ensure children are able to access a broad and balanced curriculum; whilst still receiving social and emotional support including mentoring, enrichment and thrive sessions.  The collaboration between professionals ensures that we are able to support transition back into mainstream education or specialist provision (where appropriate) in order to support our young people on a successful educational journey.

At the centre we understand how difficult it can be for young people either leaving their home school and friends either temporarily and permanently, we also understand that this is a challenging time for parents/carers too. We are happy to discuss the process and support throughout.
